Beautiful Ugly

Oftentimes, we see something lifeless as something useless or of no worth. But have we ever seen how fulfilling a life has been in its full glory while it was still alive? Don't see things for the way they are. Delve deep, and you will most often find something intriguing; shocking sometimes. In its weak and decomposing manner, there is still beauty behind it. See pass what the naked eye sees. Use your mind's eyes.

10 years

A mime I directed for the 10th Anniversary of the Song En Church.
Title: 10 years
It served as the opening act of the church service that glorious day.
All glory to the Lord.
Well, it looks scary with the make up, but the beauty in mime is the actions.
I'm still trying to get a hold of the video our lay-leader, Aunty Theresa, recorded.
Will upload it if i can get it.

My first encounter with SNOW

The youth fellowship of the church I attend (MYF), organized a trip to Ben Lomond, a ski destination in Launceston.

Fun, but I expected it to be colder. Well, perhaps not-so-cold is good. I wore 3 layers of clothes up and could still survive, but mind you, I also had a thick padding of natural heating substance in my body (if you know what I mean).

I tried making a snow angel....
not too bad, but the camera couldn't pick up the contrast...
what a pity...

I draw based on what I remember....

Sights are sometimes beautiful....
Especially if I am in it....

Crunch

My first exhibition in Tasmania is Crunch. The curator for this exhibition is none other than my lecturer, Penny Mason. The exhibition is a group effort by 21 artists and basically, it seeks to push the limits of hanging up an art piece. It challenges the mind of a conservative art appreciator who has a mindset that says that art can only be hung on a white wall. At the end of the day, it is not only the pieces that matters. The wall is the canvas ... a part of the piece as a whole.

Part of the wall. (Yours truly).

Sekob at the wall.

The actual picture, of course....

Happy Birthday to ...

Well, I know it's a little late to be announcing it on the blog now, but at least the brownies came to you on time right? Anyway, hope you had a great time.

Thanks for coming to the launch of my exhibition even when you were tired (or at least I heard you were tired)....

I've got a new jacket!

My white windbreaker got torn and smeared with paint. Pity, because it was my favourite...

Anyway, I got myself a new jacket...

It's a black denim material that's really heavily knitted and will not get wind sipping through to get to you...

Nostalgic (looking back behind shoulder)
Then all the girls say "Wah... so 'ying'*"

*ying = cool

Walking away with the sun shining behind....
Fooyo! Emo, man! =p

I gotta stop watching too many 'lone-ranger' movies and shows.... =_='''
